Boy, howdy! There’s an amazing assortment of polymer clay retreats coming up in 2009. They are close to home in Atlantic City and Maryland. Maybe one or both are just right for you!
Arlene has told me she has confirmed dates for the FOURTH annual South Jersey PolyClay Addicts Clayathon over the Martin Luther King Day holiday weekend, January 16-23. As you may recall, The South Jersey PolyClay Addicts generously give preference to PAPCG members when it comes time to sign up for their marvelous Atlantic City retreat. It will be held again at the Days Inn in Pleasantville. If you are on our calendar email list, you’ll get an announcement when it is time to register.
If you want to be on our Calendar email list (1-2 emails per month) you can actually sign up through the Trumba calendar site via the menu page on our website www.papcg.org. If that doesn’t work right, though, it is easy enough to send me an email through the Contact Us feature on the website and I will add your email address.
And here is the news from Kathryn Ottman about the second annual Cabin Fever Clay Festival scheduled for February:
Hello everyone! Plans are moving forward for the CFCF 2009 and the
instructors are getting their info submitted. Registration will open
up at the end of this month (Sept.), but in the meantime, take a look
at the new Polymer Clay Fests blog as information and photos of the
instructors’ workshop projects are posted. The blog address is:
We’ve already had several people step up to volunteer to offer
additional help in the planning of this event (thanks, folks!), so
look for this to be event better and more fun than last year’s
A quick note: we will be having a silent auction again and I will be
sending out a poll to ask your preference on the organization(s) that
will benefit from the auction. Also, if you’d like to contribute one
of your creations to the auction, there will be donation information
posted at a later date.
The theme for CFCF 2009 is “Mardi Gras Mania” since it is happening
during the same week as Mardi Gras in New Orleans. So, those planning
on attending can begin to plan on their swap items.
Thanks, all…looking forward to seeing you in 2009!
