Exploring the possibilities with polymer clay!

Thank You!

A big THANK YOU to our wonderful members, guests, vendors and artists who all teamed together to make our 2012 Showcase Fundraiser the best yet! Everyone, even our first-time guests, pitched in to help set up, clean up, sell tickets, fill and distribute goodie bags, etc.! There were lots of smiles and plenty of laughter, and raising money for our Guest Artist program couldn’t be more fun!
The quality of donations was astounding, and how meaningful to go home with a treasure made by a fellow Guild member! A heartfelt thanks to those members who contributed items this year*:

And last but not least, once again thank you to our lovely and talented emcee, Terri Powell, who seems born for the role and should be given credit for starting the tradition of this Fundraiser!
Have a great summer, be safe, and stay tuned for our fabulous 2012-2013 calendar of events!

  1. What great fun! Artists from Ontario, New York, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Maryland, and Texas all came together for a creative retreat near one of natures most awesome wonders. That is what happened at Elvenwork’s Rendezvous at Niagara – a wonderful experience. During the five day creative retreat, Katherine taught her figure sculpting techniques to some of the most enthusiastic artists you’ll ever meet. Everyone created their own sculptures in Katherine’s step-by-step way, but more than that, friendships were formed and bonds were made between us all. Hosted by Calico Corner Collectibles in Wheatfield, NY, just five miles from the falls, they provided the perfect setting at our home-away-from-home for the week of July 20. We began with a “come-as-you-are” reception on Tuesday and left Saturday with new visions and fond memories to keep us company on our way back home. In the grand scale of things, Rendezvous at Niagara wasn’t the largest polymer clay retreat this year, but we’ll wager it was one of the best!
