Exploring the possibilities with polymer clay!

We can do that at PAPCG!  We have many renowned polymer clay artists in our midst.  Those of you who attended our last meeting in May will remember Ellen Marshall, one of our Guild Founders, giving a demo on surface techniques.  She teaches this nationally and even wrote a book, but our members get it for the low price of annual dues and the desire to learn about polymer clay.  Thank you, Ellen!

Many of these renowned artists started out as beginners coming to our Guild meetings.  We hope to see you at our next meeting on Sunday September 14 at our usual venue – Hillman House Apartments, 2nd floor.

If you have never been to a meeting, check out the FAQ page  That answers questions about parking, what to bring, etc.  The CALENDAR has the agenda for meetings and classes.  The meeting on Sunday is open and all are welcome.  No dues necessary.

And just a little follow up on last May’s meeting.  I spotted Ellen carrying waxed paper with some painted sheets towards the trash can.  Arrrgh!  I had to take them home.  They were a little dried out, but I think I managed to try out a new color palette and learn a little more from Ellen’s design sense.  I will let you be the judge.

  1. Ellen is the very person who started me out with polymer clay (unbeknownst to her). She came to a beading group to share her knowledge and expertise with regard to polymer clay. I drove over 2 1/2 hours to attend this event and it was a rare thing for me to do (I barely am able to leave the house due to the care that my son needs 24/7 round the clock). I was able to leave that meeting (never to return to that group) – however – she changed my life. I adored her and took in every word she said like a sponge. I bought several packs of polymer clay and have not been able to put it down since… stress relief is what it does for me…. some days are so stressful, I literally fall asleep for several hours when I can with a piece of pc in my hands… Thank you Ellen…. You have changed my life and have started me on a path to finding me again…
