Here is a Summer Show and Tell piece from Sue Springer. The Newsletter is on a Summer schedule, so you will see it next in July. If you have any Summer Show and Tell you want to share in the Newsletter or on the blog, drop us a line at email@example.com. (That email address is back up and running!). Our next meeting is September 14 and the next Master Class will be with Carol Simmons September 20 & 21!
The beautiful work of PAPCG Founder and noted polymer clay artist, Ellen Marshall often features interesting surface treatments. Come to the last meeting of the Guild Year this Sunday, May 18 from 10-4 to learn some of Ellen’s secrets. We will also be joined by a representative from Gelli Arts and Robin Milne will demo the use of their new monoprinting reusable gel with Polymer Clay! This meeting is open to all, so come and check us out!
Imagine my surprise to find a Mother’s Day craft project using Polymer Clay in the May issue of Better Homes and Gardens. It’s like Carol Duvall has returned! Perusing the BHG website reveals several projects.
This is so great for our medium, and our Guild. I hope many new artists pick up the clay through starting a project like this and catch the Polymer Clay Fever that infects us.
Joyce is working on her Fossil Mineral Effect sheet following our class with Sophy Dumoulin via CraftArtEdu.com.
The meeting was well attended (28!) and I really appreciated all the help from MVPs: Robin, Sue M., Sue S., Lesley, Olivia, Amy and Trish. Thanks also to Sherman who runs the best Show and Tell ever. Robin will be posting more pictures soon.
Don’t forget, Guild Members who “Follow” us on Pinterest (searching Philadelphia Area Polymer Clay Guild should find us straight away) will receive invites so you can post to our boards!
